Get to know the American Muslim Senior Society

Our Vision :

The American Muslim Senior Society (AMSS) is a non-profit organization that aspires to be the regional leader in multi-cultural senior services, working with interfaith, multi-cultural, intergenerational groups and partners, to serve the needs of older persons from all backgrounds.

Our Goal:

We aim to serve underserved communities, grow our ambassador network, and build partnerships across faith, business, and healthcare sectors. Through culturally sensitive education, workforce development, and inclusive programs, we strive to fill gaps in diversity research and community services.

our priorities:

Empower. Advocate. Create.

We empower diverse communities through education, training, and workforce development in health and long-term care. We advocate for seniors, collaborate with community partners, and create innovative solutions that address essential needs like nutrition, transportation, and housing.

Want to be an Ambassador?

Our Health and Long-Term Care Outreach Ambassadors provide a holistic approach to health and wellness, that promotes independence and reduces isolation among the older underserved members of our community, of all faiths.

Our ambassadors are a vital component of all AMSS programs, providing many services that benefit both the older and younger members of Montgomery County at large. They are the driving force behind the AMSS programs.
